Mesh Upgrade Cost by Type
Standard 18x14 fiberglass is the zero-premium baseline; no-see-um, pet-resistant and solar mesh all cost more, roughly in that order. Published add-ons run from about $0.30 per square foot for heavy-duty vinyl-coated polyester up to a full $1.80–$3.00 per square foot installed for solar screen — and the honest answer for most Casselberry cages is a mixed spec, not the same mesh on every wall.

Every figure here is a third-party published market estimate for the Orlando-metro and Seminole County area, gathered in research — not this business's price list, and not a quote. The sources cited below sometimes disagree with each other by a wide margin, which is why they are listed rather than averaged into one number. Casselberry Rescreening's own rescreening starts at $1.76 per square foot, installed — use that as the real floor against the ranges above. Absolute Aluminum's Sarasota/Manatee table is numerically identical to this editorial one — treat the two as one data point, not two confirmations.

What these mesh names actually are
Standard 18x14 and 20x20 no-see-um are both fiberglass, from manufacturers including Phifer and Saint-Gobain ADFORS — Phifer's own catalog sheets publish colors, widths and roll lengths for these but no warranty term. Pet-resistant and the heavier "Super Screen"-class products are vinyl-coated polyester; Super Screen and Phifer's SunTex solar screen are the only two products in this category with a published warranty document, both 10-year limited warranties. Phifer publishes no warranty duration at all for its fiberglass insect screen, PetScreen or TuffScreen.
